First Trip to Krabi by Kum D. Miller
Convinced that the recent political crisis in Thailand was only taking place in Bangkok , leaving the rest of the country remains as peaceful as ever, decided to spend our holiday in Krabi, a small tourist town in southern Thailand. week of online research spending fueled our enthusiasm, especially since we finally got on board the aircraft region's most popular low-cost, AirAsia.
From our home in Bali we had to stop and took another flight to Kuala Lumpur, the main hub of AirAsia. A few hours stop was more fun than boring. Regardless of the fact that the facility is devoted to low-cost passengers, with more than enough facilities, including free Wi-Fi.
As we approached the destination breathtaking views of islands scattered across the ocean blue welcomed us through the windows of small aircraft. Composed of karst rising from the water, small sandy beach is adjacent to the walls of karst. Upon reaching the small, yet modern Krabi International Airport seized a car decided to Avis. A small defect that made them forget to purchase a map was covered as Avis are always one in the car.
Drive about 30 minutes Krabi Airport finally found much larger than we thought it was not much smaller than Phuket Town, on my first impression. However, as the city of Phuket and many others, was nothing more than the commercial and administrative center of the area. There is a small area along the river where the port. Not so attractive in the light of day, but absolutely stunning in the sunset.
Our online research note that Krabi has two main tourist attractions. Ao Nang, a bay on the mainland is about 30 minutes drive from the city of Krabi. Koh Lanta is an island, two islands, to be exact, is reached by a short trip by boat or from the city of Krabi. Actually it was another attraction called Koh Phi Phi Island, reachable by a 45 minute boat cruise. But as the visit after taking a boat trip from Phuket, we preferred to consider as part of Phuket, however, regardless of the fact that you get to Koh Phi Phi to Phuket took longer.
A drilling unit along a scenic road just took led us to Ao Nang, and the impressive complex small city with a relaxed atmosphere and stunning white sand beach overlooking the waterfall karst islands along the skyline. As soon as we arrived I knew it was a place I would go back. Cascade shops and restaurants along the street on the opposite side of the beach reminded me of beaches in southern Europe. Definitely different atmosphere compared to Phuket which is only a couple of hours away, either by car or boat.
From Housing, after inspecting some villas in Krabi was decided not to stay in one of them. The chalets are a bit far from the beach. While we did rent a car, we prefer to be somewhere near the beach. There was no beachfront hotels in the area actually, but at least we wanted to have all the shops and just steps away from our doors.
There were many decent but cheap hotels in the area and finally decided Areeta. Perfect location, close enough to reach the beach for a few minutes walk, but far enough away to avoid any road noise and cafes cascading along its side.
Travel to Asia – A Plane Route With Star Alliance by Sun Mcindoe
Along with Route Round the World Star Alliance has become famous for its air multiple passes for different regions. Today I would like to talk about the option offered in Asia and the South Pacific. First, we see that the countries included in this offer, because they use the Asia-term exclusion of all Middle East region, but including some South Pacific countries.
This step can take a trip to 17 countries, grouped into three regions: Southeast Asia, North Asia and South Pacific
South-East Asia including Singapore , Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand , Brunei, Philippines, Vietnam, Cambodia, Myanmar and Laos. You can travel to all destinations if you wish, but you can fly to a country that is outside this area and then re-visit another belonging to the area. It is necessary to complete the countries that want to see in this area before proceeding.
The area of northern Asia has the same rules as above, and the countries included are Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Taiwan and China. Finally, the South Pacific includes only Australia and New Zealand.
The limitations and the rules are pretty clear. There are two options, one of 15,000 miles and the other 18,000, with different prices and also depending on the class you want during the flight. The permitted minimum stay is 3 days and the maximum is 6 months, taking into account what to do at least two stops in its path, you are allowed to land only once in each city and are forced to return to home city where the trip started.
In the end, take a look at all this, the plan seems very interesting for all lovers of Asia and South Pacific, as this offer binds with low prices and allows great flexibility, adapting to the needs of almost all passengers . If you only have one negative point is that you must travel within 3 sectors, drawing a circle, so if you have a few days, probably not worth money and a local bill that can be applied to one of the regions or country alone could be the lowest consumption. Of course they are allowed to visit the three regions in three days, but ... Do you really think you will enjoy a trip like this?

Bangkok Hotels by Lance Chappell
Bangkok International Airport. Inter Continental Bangkok is very nominal, a room costs about 1,900 baht (about U.S. $ 45). This hotel is situated in a prime location opposite the Erawan Shrine. This five-star hotel offers comfort, luxury and spectacular views from all its 37 floors. Is only five minutes to the World Trade Center, shopping and sky train station. Some of the hotels that offer opportunities for leisure and business meetings are JW Marriott Bangkok, Athenee Bangkok, A Royal Meridien Hotel, Bangkok Marriott Resort & Spa, Millennium Hilton Bangkok, Shangri-La Bangkok, The Oriental Bangkok, The Peninsula Bangkok, Banyan Tree Bangkok, the Metropolitan Hotel, Dusit Thani Bangkok, Pan Pacific, Sheraton Grande and many more.
Thai cuisine is a blend centuries-old Eastern and Western influences. Today, Thai food is enjoyed around the world. Almost all metropolitan cities in the world have Thai restaurants.
The best way to locate a hotel would speak with a travel agent that books the trip ticket to the city of Los Angeles, as it is sometimes called.
Traffic Spotting in Bangkok by Gerard P Long
Maybe I'm a little sad, but I love taking pictures of traffic, and Bangkok is undoubtedly a great city to do that! During my many visits I have tried to find new perspectives and interesting to get great shots of traffic.
My favorite shots during the day, and probably one of the most famous is the pedestrian bridge that leads out through Gaysorn Plaza Ratchadamri Road at the junction of Rama I. Bridge tanks outside Central World Plaza. This way (on my last visit anyway) operates a contra flow system with 6 lanes in one direction and an additional lane available to go in the other direction. Standing on the bridge at rush hour gives you an impression of congestion suffered daily around Bangkok. Looking back the way you can try to work skytrain lines in your shot, as it is at this point where two lines meet at Siam station.
An ideal place for night shots of traffic in time I have found is the pedestrian bridge in a square through and Naradhiwas Sathorn (near Chong Nonsi Skytrain station). This area is commonly known as the business district and, as such, some well lit skyscrapers and high rise office blocks. Mixed with red and white lights in the car blurred as to give some opportunities to take pictures.
elevated train stations, of course, give it a natural point of view, but sometimes can be a bit difficult to try to get a clear shot. Once settled in Asia Hotel and has a direct connection to the Ratchadamri station, the gateway is given a good view back to Siam Square and the huge cross Rama I and Phaya Thai.
If you are visiting Chatuchak Market during your stay, there are a lot of busy roads nearby. Phahon Yothin is directly adjacent to the eastern edge of the market, it is a main route for traffic north of the city and the interior. This path receives a huge amount of bus traffic and the northern terminus of the railroad air Sukhumwit is here at Mo Chit station. A little further up from here is the union Lat Phrao, really horrible if you are a fan, but the dream of a lover of photography of traffic! It's where Phahon Yothin meets the equally great Wiphawadi Rangsit Road (which also has a high fly to avoid the intersection). Above is a highway overpass, a true concrete jungle!
Of course there is such a list would be complete without mentioning the Baiyoke Tower, Thailand s' tallest building. For some people this may take a little too far from the action, but gives a sense of the scale of the city and its roads. The tour viewpoint, once they are pointed in a vague direction Northeast get a great view down to a tangle of freeways and they meet near the train station Makkasan, keep an eye out for the train lines.
A final entry in this list is a bridge, which is perhaps a bit far from the road for many travelers, but it is my favorite in terms of size and traffic capacity. It is the Rama IX Bridge, part of Chalerm Maha Nakorn Bangkok highway south of the country. On the other side of the river can be seen the high building BOT farmers. If this is too far to travel, there are many bridges along the Chao Phraya River that are within reach of the River express boats.
