How Your Values Impact Your Success in Life by Katherine Botwinik
If there was one person, say Jeff, who places great value on freedom and fun, and compared it with another person, called Sam, who makes a very high value on safety and comfort. Would behave very differently and make different decisions? Absolutely.
Gone are the same type of vacation? I think not. You know, Jeff, who value freedom and fun can go mountain climbing, skydiving, while Sam who values ââcomfort and security can go visit the cultural museum, for example. They will buy cars very different, very different from married women, and probably be very different jobs.
When I wanted to know what led to higher insurance agents in Madrid , I met with the three and asked, "What gave them the power and passion that distinguished them from all their colleagues?"
The first lady I interviewed said that was in reality every day for his family. The way you wake up at 6 am every day, she plans her day, makes calls and met, think of your family and how they are going to it ever had before.
See, the value of the family was in harmony with your goals to succeed in his career.
But when I asked the insurance agent was equally successful second, which took him? He said he was not familiar to all. What he did was the feeling of accomplishment, beating the competition provided that the number one.
This person was the same success again, but what really brought a sense of value difference.
The third agent, who was equally successful, was totally different. He said that every time you sell an insurance policy that she felt wonderful inside, knowing she had made a difference to the safety of the family who was serving. And this inspired him to go on, despite all the hard work and rejection. Again, the value of the contribution and make a difference was in perfect harmony with their goals.
These are all the different values ââthat lead to all these people. But then, when I worked with actors who were below average, those who were struggling to get by, I realized it was because they were either not clear about their values ââor their values ââwere entirely aligned with their goals of sabotaging your goals in the process.
It is very important that you know what address values. What are the important emotions moves every day? What are the values ââthat away?
Understand and clarify these values ââwill help you make better decisions and take necessary actions are in line with their values ââallowing you to achieve your goals naturally.
