Here I sit in an old house that has been in my wife's family for over 3 generations. Is in a small town called Trakarn Puedpon, about 40 kilometers northeast of the city of Ubon Ratchathani. Many of the houses around it are owned by members of the family of my wife's great. His older brother has a general store on the main road up. Another brother is a teacher at the local elementary school. However, another brother always seems to have a few whiskey in it, but never any problems and always friendly. I'm not sure what it does. There are at least a couple of brothers somewhere in Thailand . Then there are quite a few sisters, cousins, uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews scattered around. After seven years in the family I'm still not sure we have met around the world. It feels very nice to be here, however, especially as these people are all nice treatment. You will not find any of them with airs and graces. These are real salt of the earth people. I count my blessings every time I get home here.
And it is home for me. I feel comfortable with them.
